I'm a bit disappointed too! Love that there's a "ultra violet" Domino (even in A5), but the rest is really dull. Shame they are phasing out beautiful binders like the Deco and all the Finchleys (well, except for Imperial Purple). None of the new models make my heart beat faster ... Guess we'll have to wait for 2012. Or hunt after discontinued models?
Hi guys :D No, I have not yet seen the new range, I was just looking at the pictures on Philofaxy, since I hadn't seen them properly when they were posted. But if they are really going to stick to it, then it is quite DISAPPOINTING!! as when i had spoken to Jess and Jon last year, even though they didn't reveal anything, they did let me know that it was going to be very exciting and that there would be some really beautiful binders that would easily compete with the Amazona or even the Deco. I am guessing, if those 'competitors' are the new Osterley and Regency... I honestly don't know what to say (unless the pictures are REALLY BAD and I'm getting the wrong impression!). The Osterley is like a boring version of the Amazona, and the Regency??? I will be very cruel and straight: it looks like a flat turd!
And the Enigma?? I guess it honours its name as I really can't figure out what the hell is going on there... The Aston is not bad, but boring. The Holborn looks like a copycat of the beautiful Kendal. The Apex has some fun factor with the different layout of the elastic band, but still it doesn't rock my boat.
And also, I just can't believe they are discontinuing the Finchley, when it clearly is one of the stars! The same goes for the Scanda, which I find one of the most beautiful binders they have!
I also think they should have concentrated more on updating/revamping their refill options, I though they would have at least done something about it after having read our blogs, facebook, and twitterfeed, etc. I thought they actually read and understood what we wanted, but as always, it seems they're ONLY thinking about money. :(
Also I really wish they would bring out some glamorous A5 binders with a good range of inserts in cotton cream etc. Just because we want to use these at work doesn't mean we have had a style transplant! Also the colours are really boring in A5 - I would definately have bought an Amazonia in Almond in an A5, or an Ivory or Purple Deco.
Definitely agree! not impressed at all with the new collection, it seems that they are replacing the classic styles with tacky and gordy ones which wouldn't be appropriate to use at work etc.
Perhaps us Filofax enthusiasts need to create an influential lobbying group to influence the designs and decision making at Filofax HQ!

Have you seen it for real? Or just the pictures?

you said it! and when oh WHEN are they going to start paying attention to the REFILL options, rather than just tossing new binder colors at us...

:(
I agree with you, there are a couple that look okay, but there's nothing that really makes me go "holy moly, I have got to have that!!"
Also agree that they could do with revamping their refills, which can be a bit limited at times!!
I definately agree on the refills.

Hear, hear sister.
